- An au pair is not a qualified childcare provider and should not have ANY sole charge of children under the age of two, assistance with pre-school age children should be limited, and an au pair should not be expected to have sole charge of a child/children all day.
- The majority of Au Pairs are school leavers or students taking a 6-12 month gap in their studies to improve their English before they go to university.
- Please ensure you have read and agree to meet the minimum Au Pair Programme Guidelines which apply to all new Au Pair introductions from 18th September 2017.
As a full member of the British Au Pair Agencies Association, we comply with BAPAA Au Pair programme guidelines which cover all aspects of the Au Pair programme, including Au Pair holiday allowance, hours on duty, pocket money, notice period, childcare duties and definition of acceptable light housework tasks.
